Canada Day Parade.
For the first time in ten years, I went to the Canada Parade. It took place on Georgia Street and I was a bit surprised to see how many people there were. The parade is very multinational, which I think is only natural considering the foundations of modern Canada. I was mostly excited about seeing the Latin part, although all the countries did well. The next day in my ESL class, a lot of my students were really disappointed and said it was boring compared to parades in their countries (The Brazilians have a point) and they didn't think it was very 'Canadian'. Interesting how we all view things differently!
